2022 Green Business Leaders Event: Collaboration in Action

 

                                            

Join us to see Collaboration in Action at our annual Green Business Leaders Event on Tuesday, April 26 from 5 – 7:30 PM! You’ll be inspired by Juniors from the Marin School of Environmental Leadership who will share their sustainable enterprises, as well as local environmental and business leaders, MarinSEL students, and teachers!

DATE: TUESDAY, APRIL 26TH, 2022

LOCATION: TERRA LINDA HIGH SCHOOL (OUTDOORS)

Location and Check-in: The event will be held in the Terra Linda High School courtyard adjacent to the staff parking lot and the Innovation Hub. Please check in at the entrance of the courtyard. If you have pre-purchased tickets, we will check you in using our registration list. Advanced tickets for the fundraiser can be purchased here. Tickets can also be purchased at the check-in (cash and check are preferred methods, but we will also be accepting credit cards).

Event logistics: The junior year student businesses will be set up at tables in the courtyard. We will transition into the Innovation Hub for the speaking portions of the event, which will take place between 5:15 – 5:45 PM and 6:00 – 6:30 PM.

Parking: Please park in the staff parking lot and follow the signs to the Innovation Hub and Courtyard.
COVID-19 Guidelines: We are following Marin County guidelines for outdoor gatherings. As a friendly reminder, if you are not feeling well, experience any symptoms, or have tested positive for COVID, please stay home.
We will be adhering to the following Marin County public health protocol around COVID-19:
  • Indoor activities where people from different households mix are higher risk for everyone—especially for persons not yet vaccinated.
  • Consider hosting your celebration outdoors. If indoors, open all the windows.
  • Set out food and drinks in individual servings, rather than “buffet style.”
  • Request that people who attend are vaccinated or have a recent negative COVID-19 test.
  • If you are unvaccinated (including children), complete a rapid home antigen test before attending an indoor gathering.  Report positive test results by filling out our online form located on our Self Test Reporting page.
  • Keep sinks stocked with soap and paper towels for handwashing.
  • Provide hand sanitizer in multiple locations.
  • Keep gatherings small. Large gatherings, even if they are outdoors, pose an increased risk for COVID-19.
  • Keep a list of attendees in case a positive COVID-19 test emerges.
  • Events with crowds greater than 1,000 indoor attendees or crowds greater than 10,000 outdoor attendees must comply with California’s Mega-Event Guidance

 

As an additional precaution, we ask attendees to limit gatherings at student sustainable enterprise tables to five. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available for use. We encourage mask wearing for anyone who wishes to.
Unofficial After-party Information: Our upcoming fundraiser, the Green Business Leaders Event, will be held at the Innovation Hub courtyard starting at 5 PM, and the speaking portions of the event will end at 6:30 PM. We will be serving light appetizers, refreshments, and sweet treats during the event. After purchasing student sustainable enterprise products and networking to your heart’s content at the GBL Event, we invite you to head over to Gaspare’s Pizzeria Ristorante & Bar in San Rafael afterward for a DINE AND DONATE event, as they have graciously offered to donate a percentage of their sales to MarinSEL for the evening.

This year, we will also be hosting a Green Spring Online Auction and Fund-a-Need! Please register to bid in advance of the online fundraiser, which will run from Wednesday, April 27 at 5:00pm to Friday, May 6, 2022 at 8:00pm.
